Families affected by pregnancy and infant losses to have a safe space for grief support, fostering healing, hope and resilience. Angel Gowns Facebook group was established in 2016. On December 14, 2017, it was officially incorporated as a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) under the name Angel Hearts Limited, a Non-Profit Organisation. The purpose of this incorporation was to expand the range of products and services offered by the organisation.

Angel Gown (AG) Logo was discontinued during this transition. Angel Hearts (AH) Logo was birthed. The logo underwent a transformation from pink to purple to symbolize both girls (represented by red) and boys (represented by blue) in cases of pregnancy loss. Additionally, the wings were redesigned to point upwards, symbolising hope and positivity. During the initial stages, the founders deliberated on a name that would embody a strong brand identity. Felicia Tan proposed the name "Angel Hearts" as it signifies the angel babies that have been lost but will forever remain close to our hearts. This name was chosen by taking the first and last words of the phrase, and it was unanimously approved by all founders, leading to the establishment of the organisation as it stands today.
Angel Hearts has its beginnings from Angel Gowns which started off from a Facebook sewing hobby community and evolved into a platform to comfort bereaved women and send angel babies off with dignity.
5 women met for the very first time in August 2016 to make a difference to help the bereaved. Within minimum knowledge, they sat and worked on prototypes, figuring out Asian babies sizing, shapes to work on and requirements of the hospitals. After which they launch the angel gowns patterns to sew during the first official meet up in October 2016.
The concept of angel gowns is adapted from similar organisations in the United States and Australia where they have robust charities upcycling preloved wedding gowns into angel apparel and bringing comfort to bereaved families.
“The gowns were used for happy occasions. When you link that love and happiness of the person who wore it, we hope it brings an element of love and comfort to a sad event.”
From Angel Gowns, we extend the range to sewn wraps, bonnets and receiving blankets
as well as loom beanies and crocheted booties….
